Financial Management Accountant -Durban
We are recruiting a Financial Management Accountant. The position is based at our offices in Durban and the successful applicant will be reporting to the Financial Director or their nominees at GAAP where applicable.
Job Description:
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Financial Management Accountant located in Durban, with the opportunity for some remote work. The Financial Management Accountant will be responsible for financial management, preparing financial statements, utilising analytical skills for reporting, and overseeing financial reporting tasks. Budgets and financial reporting, internal audit including SOX compliance will be pivotal to the role. Managing a big 4 audit, cross border and tax compliance will be preferred and experience at a NASDAQ or JSE listed company will be preferential. Consolidation experience preferential but not mandatory.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
- CA (SA) or CIMA, minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Group reporting
- Financial Management and Finance skills
- Experience in preparing financial statements
- Analytical skills for financial data evaluation
- Financial Reporting abilities
- Knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial regulations
- Internal audit
- Sox controls
- Quarterly reporting to listed group entities
