Infrastructure Monitoring & Support

We have an Infrastructure Monitoring & Support position available in Gqeberh. The Infrastructure Monitoring & Support will provide day-to-day monitoring and support to employees and the business from the GAAP Infrastructure Gqeberha Office. This includes remote server, network, and desktop support.

Job Specification:
  • Actively monitors and analyses user requests via a ticket system, evaluates and applies solutions.
  • Troubleshoots any IT technical issues and resolves in a courteous, professional, and timely manner in person or via email, telephone and/or other electronic medium.
  • Actively monitors and analyses Network, Firewalls, UPS’s, Servers and Lines, reports, evaluates and applies solutions where applicable.
  • Assisting with queries and allocation of routers Simard’s to Clients and Sites
  • - Data checks and investigations where necessary
  • Setting up and assisting with VPN and VoipVPN connections and Software
  • - Consults IT knowledgebase(s), Internet, other team members and any other appropriate resources for the purpose of independent troubleshooting.
  • - Assists with new projects by investigating options and making recommendations as to what systems, hardware, and software changes are appropriate for the organization including and not limited to servers, switches, desktops, laptops, printers, and area/department specific infrastructure.
  • - Daily Checks on office generators and report any maintenance and repairs required.
  • - Daily monitoring of Cyber Security Dashboards.
  • - Daily monitoring of Solar installations activity.
  • - Daily monitoring of Zabbix Dashboards and proactive solution activation.
  • - Meet deadlines, manage stress effectively and a willingness to work shifts and have a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements & Competencies:
  • - 2 – 5 years IT experience
  • - Linux knowledge beneficial

Sales Care & Extension Sales Representative Gauteng

GAAP Point Of Sale is recruiting a Sales Care and Extension Sales Representative. This position is based at our offices in Midrand Johannesburg.

Position Overview:

Providing excellent sales care as well as selling supplementary product solutions as extension sales to all our existing independent clients in Gauteng.

Job Specification:
  • Handling of sales enquiries with suitable solutions at hand
  • Handling of change of ownerships; defranchisings; cancellations; and account amendments
  • Handling contract queries, internal coordination, and internal sales administration
  • Handling of additional sales and upgrade sales including site visits, quoting, and sales process completion
  • Promoting and selling our supplementary product solutions
  • Handling the holistic sales process from call sheet calling; quoting; and negotiating to deal signing and sales administration submission
  • Successful maintenance of administrative duties
  • Successfully meet weekly, monthly and quarterly targets and KPI’s

GAAP Point Of Sale is recruiting a Sales – Key Account Manager. This position is based at our offices in Midrand Johannesburg.

Responsibilities
  • Account management of assigned franchises and groups.
  • Canvassing and signing up of new franchises and groups
  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term business relationships with clients; franchisors; and franchisees
  • Quoting and upselling of products and services with good negotiation skills
  • Handling the holistic sales process from quoting; site meetings; negotiation to deal signing and sales administration submission
  • Effective handling of queries with suitable solutions at hand
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Responsible for keeping current groups and clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Liaison between client and GAAP technical and internal teams
  • Successful maintenance of administrative duties
  • A combination of office-based; remote working; and travelling to clients
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
  • Minimum two years B2B / corporate sales and/or account management experience.

Cloud Services Technician - Midrand

GAAP Point of Sale is recruiting a Cloud Services Technician. The position is based at our offices in Midrand, Johannesburg and the successful applicant will be reporting to the Cloud Services Manager or their nominees at GAAP where applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install routers and network solutions for the hospitality industry.
  • Ensure customer stores are online and that data is current on the web.
  • Train customers on installed computer systems and software.
  • Support, troubleshoot and resolve software-related callouts at customer sites.
  • Support, troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related callouts at customer sites.
  • Configure and program software to operate correctly in the customer environment.
  • Identify solutions and adapt software for optimal use within customer environments.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid driver’s licence and a reliable, insured vehicle (business-use cover). Vehicle should be in good condition.
  • Willingness to travel long distances within the region.
  • At least 1 year’s experience in the IT field; IT Technical Support background is essential.
  • IT qualification recommended (preferably N+ and A+).
  • Windows networking experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Network cabling experience and Point of Sale experience advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
